This week Footwear News is hosting its annual Achievement Awards. In case you’re not familiar with the award show last year Kanye West won the iconic Shoe of the Year Award for his Yeezy Boost 350 and delivered an equally iconic–and long— Kanye speech. Watch below (we miss you Kanye!).

There were big winners this year including the first female winner of the Shoe of the Year Award. So let’s talk about it shall we?

Paul Andrew-Designer of the Year

37 year old designer Paul Andrew is not a stranger to Footwear News, in 2013 he won Launch of the Year after releasing his official line in 2012. This week he will be crowned designer of the year after just four years of incredible work, including collaborations with J.Crew, features in Vogue, and working with top names like Lupita Nyong’o and Emma Watson. So he’s basically #GOALS. Below are some of his shoes from his S/S 2017 shoe collection.

Zendaya- Launch of the Year

Zendaya is literally one of my favourite people EVER and this year she launched her new line with her stylist Luxury Law called Daya by Zendaya before the age of 20. I’m just so happy for her so you go girl!

Rihanna x Puma-Shoe of the Year

What is a fashion award without Rihanna? This year our generations style ICON won the most coveted award of the night, the Shoe of the Year Award for her Puma creepers. Rihanna’s collaboration with Puma as their creative director has launched her from musician to a full on fashion designer with her own shows in New York and Paris. It doesn’t hurt that she is the FIRST female to win this award, get your money Rih Rih 😉
